So what does this journey look like? Well we’d like you to commit to doing something with your MP at least three times a year.
We’ll drop you an email to let you know what the next action is and we’ll update you on stories coming in from around the network. If you’re sitting there thinking, “Hmmm three times a year, is that it?!” don’t worry there’ll be a bank of ideas for actions that you can take throughout the year.
These might involve holding a prayer vigil for Parliament, setting up a prayer group to support your MP, meeting in Costa for a fairly-traded coffee, or visiting Westminster to see where your MP works.
For us the most exciting bit about this is the vision that young people and students as part of the church are being empowered, empowering their spheres of influence and becoming advocates for those living in poverty.
