is it biblical?

The Psalms tell us that we should be a voice to the voiceless, the prophets tell us that we should defend the rights of the widow and the poor.  Jesus us tells us that we should love God with all of our heart, mind and strength and love others as he loves us, Paul tells us that in everything the cause of the poor should be a priority.

Sounds like the poor are on God’s agenda, well at least back then they were.  But we sing “Yesterday, today and forever, You (GOD) are the same You never change”…guess what the poor are still on God’s agenda and so they should be on ours too.

Campaigning, if it prioritises the need of the poor, brings justice to the downtrodden, freedom to the oppressed and glory to God is very, very biblical.
