Tearfund is involved in a number of campaigns. Below are details of the campaigns we are involved with - these link directly to pages within the Lift the Label and campaign sections of the Tearfund website.

Join Tearfund’s ethical lifestyle campaign, Lift the Label, which is calling on UK clothes retailers to join the Ethical Trading Initiative and implement a code of conduct. We want you to use your voice to make a difference to the working conditions of people in the global garment industry.

The rules of world trade make it impossible for poor countries to compete. The lack of market opportunities costs developing countries at least £300 billion a year - far more than they receive in aid. Tearfund is part of the Trade Justice Movement, and is focusing on tourism, examining its impact on the world’s poorest, and how we can work for positive change.

Tearfund’s trade campaign is focusing on two key aspects of trade: fair trade and international trade rules. The trade campaign focuses both on our role as consumers and our role as campaigners in helping to ensure that trade becomes part of the solution, not a root cause of the problem.

The Trade campaign is on the main Tearfund website.

Water and sanitation are key issues for the poor - both their availability and accessibility. Waste and pollution by the wealthy nations are key factors too. Tearfund and WaterAid initiated the Water Matters campaign to mobilise political energy for positive change in these issues.

Tearfund's Whose Earth campaign is on the main Tearfund website.
