Media Officer
This role involves raising awareness of Tearfund by developing contacts with your local media. We’d like you to adapt Tearfund press releases and send them to local newspapers or radio stations and distribute press releases about what local churches are doing to support Tearfund. Some Media Officers may also be interviewees for local media. For more information click here.

Prayer Group Leader
This role involves encouraging and equipping Christians in your local area to meet together to pray for Tearfund and issues relating to its ministry in an informed way. We’d like you to receive Tearfund’s prayer material, advertise your prayer group meetings, arrange venues, lead the meetings (involving others as appropriate) and let us know about your group’s activities. Tearcraft volunteer
Become part of a trading enterprise that provides craft-workers around the world with the dignity of earning a living. As a Tearcraft volunteer you’ll sell skilfully handcrafted products to customers either directly or through a mail order catalogue. You can choose to be involved in distributing the catalogues, running Tearcraft stalls and/or collecting and delivering orders. For more information click here.

Tearfund Church Representative
Be the familiar face of Tearfund in your church! We’ll give you resources to help you incorporate Christian action with the world’s poorest people into the life of your fellowship. We’d also like you to display literature on notice boards, encourage people to receive Tear Times and pass comments and questions from the church onto us. For more information click here.

Tearfund Speaker
This role usually involves taking speaking engagements in churches but you can choose to give presentations in a variety of other settings from schools to women’s guilds to sports clubs. Talks usually last between 20 and 30 minutes and involve communicating about the work of Tearfund partners and exploring what the Bible says about poverty. For more information click here.

Area Volunteer Co-ordinator
This role involves supporting a small team of Tearfund volunteers who in turn lead or co-ordinate others. We’d like you to make regular contact with the members of your team (either face-to-face or by email or phone) and encourage them to work together. Your focus will be on support, guidance, team-building and gathering feedback. For more information click here.

Campaigns Promoter
As a Campaigns Promoter you can choose to work in churches (organising services focusing on a campaign issue, setting up a campaign group or asking people to sign postcards); in groups (organising a Tearfund campaigning group or encouraging existing local groups to participate in Tearfund campaigns) or in your area (working with other volunteers to move campaigns forward). Church Representative Co-ordinator
This role involves supporting a small team of Tearfund Church Representatives (volunteers who provide their churches with resources and information about Tearfund). We’d like you to make regular contact with team members – celebrating successes and helping to resolve difficulties – and organise occasional team meetings at which Representatives can encourage one another and share ideas. Event Representative
Large Christian events are ideal places for presenting Tearfund to the evangelical community. Event Representatives play an important part in this. For each event at which you agree to help we’d like you to guide and advise visitors to the Tearfund stand, sell resources and/or Tearcraft and keep the stand clean, tidy and secure. Event Set-up Assistant
Large Christian events are ideal places for presenting Tearfund to the evangelical community. Event Set-up Assistants play an important behind-the-scenes role in this. For each event at which you agree to help we’d like you to assist with setting up display stands, displaying resources and Tearcraft stock, and packing and dismantling stands after the event.
