Want some fresh ideas?
Are you involved in discipling students? A small group leader, student worker or CU exec member? If so, you are doing a brilliant job and we would love to be able to help inspire and resource the work you are doing. Here’s a few suggestions for starters...
Just People?
It’s a critical question! We’re passionate about helping students engage with God’s heart for justice, working out what it all means for us, as individuals and churches; in local communities and around the world. How do we love our neighbours (next door, and the global variety) as ourselves? Just People? is a four week course with DVD clips, Bible Studies, activities and discussion to help your group, big or small, to delve deeper into these questions. Click here for more info.
Turn it up: Raising our voices
The Bible calls us to speak up for those whose voices are drowned out by the noise of our own richer societies. Turn it up! is a two week resource looking at what life’s like for the 900 million people with no access to clean water, and how we can respond by campaigning on their behalf. Front room Fundraiser
This one is about fundraising (funnily enough!) for HIV. It’s simple: grab your mates, settle in your front room for a feast, a film or whatever takes your fancy, get everyone to bring a bit of cash, and then send us what you raise. We’ll send it to our church-based partners working around the world to stop the spread of HIV and reverse its impact. Brilliant! Why not plan it around World Aids Day on 1st December? Get more info here.
One Voice: Global Poverty Prayer Week
The amazing thing about prayer is that IT WORKS! That’s why we are asking you to block out March 1st - 7th 2010 and get on your knees for those who need our prayers the most, and yet are not often at the front of our minds, and even less the top of our prayer lists. More info coming soon; watch this space!
