Transform four month teams give you an opportunity to build deeper relationships and immerse yourselves in a culture more fully than a summer trip. You will be working alongside Tearfund partners, assisting in the running of their projects, such as Aids education in schools, holiday clubs, or care of disabled children and adults. On a four-month team you will become more adjusted to real life in that culture: from the exciting (trips away, the hustle and bustle of markets, the vibrancy of local people and the opportunity to serve God in an exciting environment) to the mundane (insects, washing-up, slower pace of life!) The teams travel in the spring in groups of between six and eight people.
The four month transform programme is tailored to those in a ‘gap’ year, but is available for anyone over 18 to apply. We are also running a team to India which will be tailored towards those over 25. Four month teams are smaller in size than the two week and summer teams and usually comprise of six to eight people.
