Giles and Japheth, Transform Kenya.
Every summer, teams of between eight and twelve people go overseas to work with Tearfund partners around the world. They work in partnership with local people on practical projects such as building or children’s work. The teams are open to anyone over the age of 18. All participants must successfully complete an orientation.
Where would I go?
The programme operates in partnership with local churches and Christian groups in Africa, Latin America and Asia. For a full list of destinations, giving you an idea of the types of opportunity available, click here.
Orientation weekend
Once the teams have been provisionally put together we will then contact you to invite you to the Summer teams orientation weekend. You must attend this residential orientation course which will prepare you to visit a new culture, and help you and the team you are travelling with to develop together.

October 2009: Journey - a weekend for students
23rd - 25th October or 30th October - 1st November 2009. This will be confirmed as soon as possible.
We hope that your Transform trip is just one step in an ongoing journey for you. And this weekend is an opportunity to gather together with other students and think about the journey ahead. What does acting justly, loving mercy and walking humbly with God look like now we’re home? (Micah 6:8). We're going to spend time worshipping, hearing from speakers who are living the life and making space for conversations and debate. It’s a fantastic opportunity to see your team again, connect with like-minded people and get inspired to stay on the journey.
We'd love to see you there.
