the transform international reunion weekend

This year the Transform International Reunion Weekend will be from the 30th October – 2nd November and will be held at Cefn Lea Park, in mid Wales. The weekend is a chance for you to reflect on your experiences and to catch up with your team and other Transformers you met at your orientation. Members of the Tearfund youth team (among others) will be giving seminars to encourage, inspire and equip us; and there will be plenty of time to relax and unwind too. some of the Transform team will be there, and will be available if you want to talk to us during the weekend.

The weekend starts with dinner at 8pm on Friday evening (arrivals and getting settled in from 6pm), runs through to Sunday lunchtime, and is the final part of your Transform experience. All you need to do is let us know you’re coming and get yourself there! For all those who go on a standard Transform trip, the charge for the weekend is included in the cost of your trip; however you must pay for your travel to and from the reunion.

Tell us your story...

On Saturday morning, we'll be spending some time telling each other about our experinces in a marketplace style forum. click here to find out all you need to know about what you need to bring and how to prepare for the session.

travel

We’re going to try to make it really easy to get to the middle of Wales this year and so we’ll be putting on a coach from Birmingham city centre to Cefn Lea. The coach will be free and details can be found here.

You can also get the train to Y Drenewydd / Newtown which is the nearest station. The timetable is downloadable here and numbers for local taxi firms are available with the general directions.

Or there's always driving! Directions are available here and please do let us know if you can offer a lift to anyone.

Need a lift?!

If you would like a lift to the weekend, email Tim Malcolm on tim.malcolm@tearfund.org and he'll try to arrange a lift for you if there's anyone travelling from your area.

Our main advice is to book your travel early!

what to bring with you

Suprisingly, it can get a little cold and wet in the middle of Wales sometimes! Don't worry, we will all have a fabulous time - you may just want to bring some things with you to make your stay super comfortable...

So, please bring the following:

  • Clothes to keep you warm
  • Clothes to keep you dry
  • A sleeping bag or duvet and sheets
  • A towel and toiletries

You'll also definitely want to bring your stories and your team mates, a bible and something to take notes with!
