Pedro visited Tearfund partner ASHA as part of the 2 week team that travelled in the spring of 2007.

"I found the work incredibly absorbing and fulfilling… It was great to have a project with a start and an end point to work through and be focused on."
"I have seen for myself the joy and contentment possible from having the basics in life. Being thankful for the day-to-day things one has."
"I think of the world… in wider terms. During an everyday situation I find myself imagining what these people in the slum are doing in that moment of the day, and this helps me to realise that my experience of life in the west is not all there is to the world… Seeing a family of six live in a small slum house the size of a room with a single bed has reminded me that to people from many parts of the world, my ‘average’ house is an abundance of space."
"...as Christians we are all different and have different ways of learning and yet are all one as long as we are in Christ."
