be the vision

What’s the big idea?

There’s something fresh that’s happened to us lately. We’ve all noticed it. It’s in the air, different to how we’ve felt it before.

What is it?

Excitement!

We’re feeling excited about the future. We’re feeling excited about what we can do together, excited at just how much change 100,000 united local churches could kick off. We’re feeling excited by the idea of seeing 50 million people released from extreme poverty within the next ten years.

Those are the numbers and that’s the vision. But it’s not the whole story. OK, so we’ve said that we’re looking to unite Christians around the world to set this magnificent change in motion, but there’s even more to say than that. We’re not looking for a single celebrity to unite behind. We don’t need a superhero to do all this for us. We just need you. Lots of you. Thousands, in fact. You with all your passion and energy, bringing your hassles and homework, and your hopes and dreams too. We just want you.

How it's going to work...

Below are five areas we’re focusing our work on that are crucial to seeing people lifted out of extreme poverty, so we can reach our vision. Click on them to find out more about the issues.

But as we unite to see this vision turn into reality, there’s something we cannot miss out. Our whole vision hinges on it. We will go nowhere without it. We need prayer!

We believe our vision is God inspired, but we’ll only get there with him leading us. We’re serious about prayer, so we’ve started a Global Poverty Prayer Chain, make sure you’re a part of it!
